I’m Sacha Smith— a Vermont photographer, a mom of three, and dog mom to my French bulldog, Frankie. I call Highgate home and welcome clients into my studio in St. Albans, where so many meaningful moments are captured.

Photography started simply — with my own children. Their sports, their milestones, the everyday moments I never wanted to forget. Somewhere along the way, I picked up a camera… and never wanted to put it down. What began as a way to preserve my own memories quickly grew into something much more — a calling to help others hold onto theirs.

My work is rooted in true-to-color, editorial, romantic, storytelling photography. I’m drawn to the in-between moments — the quiet, the laughter, the connection — the pieces of life that often pass too quickly but mean everything.

In 2023, my perspective on life deepened in a way I never expected. After surviving both breast cancer and kidney cancer, I made it my mission to find as much beauty in the world as possible — and to help others see it too. That experience is at the heart of everything I create.
